This one was a new trail for us - Mashed Potato and The Pickle (rated 4/5) were only run one time for the rally, Mashed Potato was run, but as an easier 3 or 3.5 rated trail.  They didn't do the harder stuff we did.

The Pickle is very short but with two decent and fun obstacles.  We did this short trail first and then went on to the nearby Mashed Potato trail.  A very fun (and windy) day.

Video links on second post.

One of our favorite runs too, but we skip the hard obstacles.  It is fun to watch you crazies doing them!

The Pickle is a great little trail. We do it on atv's and it's a blast. 50/50 is surprisingly more difficult for us than the last ledge at the end of the trail. The ropes are just to keep us from going over backwards, really no help other than that.  ;D

That's pretty good wheeling for those small tires.  It's scary when I watch quads doing the wall at Poughkeepsie Gulch (Colorado) - most of the ones I watch are a heartbeat away from a rollover.

With very few exceptions, we ride everything that the jeeps and other full size vehicles do out there. Moab Rim is pretty intense, as was Cliff Hanger in a couple of spots. The Launch Pad and Kenny's Climb are no problem, but have a good pucker factor.   So far, the Pickle and the Z turn are the only places we've had to use the ropes to keep from going over backwards. Could do it without them, I've seen it on video, but I'm not the one to take that type of chance.

Here are some pics of mashed potato in 2012...

Sorry - haven't been watching this board for a few days.  Here's a BLM map (pdf) that shows Mashed Potato trail (in blue.)  The blue trails on the right side of the map are not the MP trail - the map apparently was drawn for Easter Jeep Safari purposes.  The MP trail and 3D trail share some of the same track.

Okay, that's why I didn't recognize it. Other than Bartlett Wash Rd and the Pickle, they don't really share the same trails from 3-D. Thanks.
