removing the rear AC unit on school bus

hmmm I haven't logged on in some time and it looks like this part of the forums been pretty dead as well....maybe I'll get lucky though.

so I was told it was dead, and that the front pump was long gone when I got the bus. as far as I can tell the switch up front lights up but the fans don't spin. so pretty much simply will unbolting it cutting the hoses and wires effect the operation of the bus? I've ASSumed wrong before on such a thing...
 
IF the fans do not spin I would suspect a 12 volt issue.. Check that before you start slicing and dicing.

If this is a HEATER.. then you can cut a hose and plug it,  If it is an AIR conditioner with an evaporator and condenser you need to have a professional evacuate the lines first and then there are precautions that need to be taken.  This is because the coolant contained in those lines is valuable.
