Sewer Donut?

Just read on one RV park's web site that "Sewer donuts are REQUIRED on all units."

I haven't heard that term before.? What is it?

Sewer hose donut - A plastic or rubber ring used to get a good seal between the sewer hose and the campground sewer connection. Sewer hose donuts are required at many campgrounds

You only need the donuts if the sewer connection doesn't have a threaded fitting. Even if it doesn't, sometimes the connection elbow or other fitting you have will make a force fit into the pipe. We carry a donut for those cases where it's needed. Even if the park (or local regulations) doesn't require it, you should always have a tight fitting sewer connection to avoid odors and possible overflow when dumping.

I had to buy one for a campground that required them this spring. As I recall, it was less than $2 at Wallmart.
