Fifth wheel and wind?
« on: June 21, 2014, 06:21:30 PM »
Thank you all that has been answering all my questions, do appreicate it a lot.

We can get good winds here in VA, do you think a strong wind could affect our fifth wheeler that is parked at camp ground, for a 38ft long and about 14,000 wieght or more? Would it shake it good?

Thanks!

They can shake sometimes in the wind but short of a tornado or 80 MPH winds on the side I would not worry too much...

I was in wind so bad once I backed the truck up and hitched figuring it was safer with the truck hooked up....no problems but I slept better...

Good Luck,

Jim

High winds can effect any RV if they are from the side.  West Texas sees lots of rigs flipped by winds at certain times of the year.  Only one time did I worry enough to pull the slides in over night.
