Just replace my Dometic cooling unit. They said all you needed was a few tools. No sweat a little retro issues but went in and the ice box is 14 deg. but fridge is 47 to 50 deg. any ideas? it has been 48 hours since i re started it, RV is level,  cooling unit was leaking yellow powder under burner tube, but was working fine before. not sure what to check next.

Leaking yellow is a bad sign. Your post is confusing though. Which one leaked the old or the replacement? Put a glass of water in the refrigerator and take the temp of the water. Once you open the door all the heavy cold air cascades out the bottom on your feet and warm air rushes in, you can't get an accurate cooling temp from the air.

Whichever unit was leaking yellow powder, it is a goner. Hope it's not the replacement!

If the replacement is not the one that leaked yellow, the next thing to check is the heat source(s), electric and LP. Try both and see if the boiler gets real hot and the rest of the cooling unit seriously warm.

Is the cooling unit a new one from Dometic or another supplier? Or used?  When you replaced the cooling unit, did you make sure the heat exchanger tubing is firmly against the plate at the back of the fridge? That is critical to good cooling.

Get a service manual for your Dometic model from the BryantRV web site - they have most of them available for download.
