I am trying to decide between a Jeep Liberty or a Jeep Compass to use as a toad. I have heard rave reviews about the liberty but conflicting reports as to the 4 down towing capability of the compass. Any thoghts or experience would be appreciated.

Can't comment on the Compass, but we do have an '06 Liberty diesel and love it. Towing is a snap. Just put the transfer case in "N" and the tranmission in PARK, make sure to unlock the steering wheel and go. Don't even know it's there.
