Billy - Actually that would be Ventura California. I lived there for 30 years. There is a nice mission there to explore.

SeilerBird you are correct it is spelled with an a don't know how that e got in there. Anyway Ventura seems like a good town with lots to do we have enjoyed it so far. Were are you now?

July  19 & Sun 20th The 19th was a stay at home day, do clothes washing & other chores around the trailer. Mostly just chill out for a day.
Sun 20th This was a really enjoyable day, didn't even cook breakfast ate at Denny's on the way to The Ronald Reagan Library. We arrived at the Library @ 9:45 and was able to park really close to the library & buy our tickets with out having to stand in line very long, only two people ahead of us.
I can not describe the library except to say awesome. Reagan is my favorite all time President. All I can say is if you are in this part of California don't miss The Reagan Library it covers a lot of history. I am posting some of our photos.
We stopped at this Farmers Market on our way back to the RV Park and stocked up on more outstanding strawberries

We loved the Regan library as well. We have also been to the Nixon library in Orange County. I was surprised how through it was. Very nice as well.

Before you leave the Antelope Valley, check out the Rio Tinto Borax Mine Visitor Center and Museum just north of Hwy 58 at Exit 196 (Borax Rd./ Boron exit).  Drive 3 miles north of the freeway and follow the signs to the check-in gate.  It's a couple of bucks per car.  Then drive up the graded road to the visitor center overlooking the mine pit.  Map

Then there's Mojave Air and Space Port, on old Hwy 58 east of Mojave.  Home to Burt Rutan's Scaled Composites and several other private space companies.  http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/space/news/pm-visits-mojaves-burgeoning-private-spaceport

Currently I am living in central Florida after spending 10 years full timing. The Reagan Ranch is above Santa Barbara but you can't get in to tour it, just drive past the entrance.

The Reagan Library is on my list of places to visit. Several years ago I was on a (business) day trip close by, but didn't make it.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions & commits, some are going on my list for the next time we are in Southern  California

Monday 21st July We decided that since this was our last free day in Southern Calif. We would drive to San Diego and visit the USS Midway We really enjoyed the Midway anybody in the area should visit if you can. We only had a few hours on board, looked at a lot of things they had on display and took pictures will post some when I get them downloaded & sorted. One thing that was interesting as I was sitting at a table enjoying the cool breeze out on a deck. A man that looked to be in his late 70s asked if he could share my table. As he was eating lunch we talked and he was a vol.on the Midway and had been stationed on the Midway for over 8 year sure had some interesting history of the ship.
The rest of the story we knew that this would be a long day trip, going we took some back roads and hit the freeway about half way. Good drive not many on the road. Coming back I decided to follow our GPS Maybe it would know a shorter route well it took us down through the middle of LA at 4 pm & we got to the Park after 9pm "O" well live and learn.

Liked your pictures of the library and will put that on my list to do. To answer your question on the blueberries, yes they are wild and everywhere here in Washington state.

Tue July-22-23-24-25. I have gotten a few days behind will try to catch up some tonight. We did not head to north California only moved about 35 miles. To a Boomdockers Welcome place in Rosemont we were parked there for 4 days. I don't know if any of you belong to Boomdockers Welcome or not it has worked out well when we used it. We had great Host at both places we stayed.
We booked a whale watch tour for the 24th we left our trailer at the Rosemont site and booked a room in a motel for the night of the 23rd, didn't want to have to fight the morning rush hour traffic into to Ventura the morning of the tour. We really enjoyed the whale watching tour even if we didn't see any whales close enough to get a picture, we did see thousands of dolphin and some pictures that I will post. most of the water around the islands was very clear, you could see the dolphins under about 5 to 6ft of water
On the 24th after we got back to the trailer I noticed we had a low tire & the dust cap on one wheel was missing.
We stayed in Rosemont one more day to have flat fixed and I repacked the wheel bearing & installed a new dust cover. Here are some pictures of our Boomdock site and of the whale tour. I will add a few of the Uss Midway too

Here are some of our pictures of the whale watching tour. I did not want to post too many on one post. We did get a VIP Parking spot just across the side walk from the boarding platform.

Sat July 26 -14
We moved today to the Escapees Co Op Sierra Park in Coursegold, California about 25 miles from Yosemite and We will be touring Yosemite NP tomorrow We are further north and higher but was over 100 when we got here about 1 pm.

26 & 27 July-14 The Sierra Park that we are in in Coursegold is one of the nicest Parks we have stayed in. We will be here until Sunday Aug. 3rd  If you belong to SKP don't miss this if in the Yosemite area.
The 27th we took a tour of Yosemite NP. It was not a good day to tour the park Very hazy I think that it was smoke because at times you would get a very Smokey smell. You can see how bad the hazy is in some of the few pictures we took. The Park is very dry not much water over the falls if any. I know that the best time to visit this park is usually in late spring, but we only made it one of the times we have toured Yosemite in early June when the snow melt was in full swing and all the falls & streams were flowing with a lot of water Beautiful.
We did enjoy the drive through the Park. We waited till on our way out before touring the big Trees that are on the edge of the park. It was later than we planed so didn't take many pictures, anyway enjoyed the big Redwoods I won't come to California with out visiting at least one of the parks that have Redwoods
