Hello, Just joined the forum, and have a couple questions. We have just started looking at truck campers for my '99 K-3500 Chevy 1 ton, single rear wheels, regular cab, 8' bed, 454 auto, 9200 gvw with all the hd towing accessories. I want to be able to tow a small fishing boat with the camper on.  Here are my questions:
1) anyone have a recommended camper for this type of truck 2) most campers I see are mounted on extended cab trucks, for the few folks with regular cab trucks is having that extra overhang in front a problem?

Thanks, Mike

This will help you with the weights.

Once you understand what the weights are and what you and carry,
then you can look at what is sold.

The camper weight and weight of what you expect to carry.
Knowing the weights is the first step.
Anything overloaded is a hazard to everyone.

I'm thinking that the "extra" overhang of a camper on a regular cab truck would actually help move some of the weight towards the front axle. That's got to be a good thing.
