I'm new and this is my first question so I hope it's in the right spot. What I am looking for is a website that will give me the torque and horsepower of various Chev/GMC engines. My '95 GMC 350 is a little tired. I have towed my fifth wheel with a friends '03 GMC with the 5.3 V8 and it worked very well. I believe it has 285hp at about 5300 and 325 ft lbs at about 4200. I have found a 97 GMC with the 5700 vortec and the only info I can find says that it has about 255 hp at about 5000 but the torque is 310 ft lbs at 2800 RPM. I think that torque must be a mistake but I would like to verify it. I think it would be great to have peak torque that low. Can anyone help with either a link or some genuine numbers?
