Currently I am flat towing a Jeep Cherokee Sport.  No problem.  Kind of slow going up a certain mountain pass.  My RV is a 94 Newmar Mountainaire, 37ft with a 460 ford engine.  I have a 10,000 pound rated tow bar and I would get a new base plate.  When I tow the jeep down the road I am not even aware that it is back there for the most part.  I would sure like to tow the above mentioned vehicle as my jeep is developing a few problems totally unrelated to the towing issue.  I have tried to research this but I am having a fair amount of difficulty.  Thanks for any help you folks might give me.

I doubt if the hitch receiver on your motorhome is rated above 5000 lbs. Maybe not even that high - 4000 or even 3500 was common back in 1994. You need to look at the coach GCWR (max combined weight of coach and toad/trailer) to determine the toad weight limit.

If you can't find the GCWR on a sticker in the coach, a call to Newmar with your VIN should get the info.
