So who is getting up early to photograph the Blood Moon?  News reports say that it should be visible all over the US.  See attached link for info and times:

I'll be looking up, too. Have to rise early to catch up on some work at the office.

I was going to, but we spent the evening at "Its Greek to Me" to celebrate a friends birthday. I drank tea and coffee all evening so now Im wide awake. I will probably fade out just a couple hours before the event. But then I dont have to work tomorrow, so I could just stay up to see it. :)

It's 4:00 AM straight up and I have a clear view of the Blood Red Moon but I do not know how to photograph it.

I haven't gotten around to buying a tripod, and I wouldn't know which manual settings to use... :-\ It is a unique sight though, a blood red moon.

It's visible from our front deck this morning, but we're not set up for photographing it.  Still an impressive sight.

I woke up and went out to see it about 5. It was too cold to stay out there so I just popped in and out to look at the progress. Really cool to watch.

We had lots of thin clouds, so I couldn't get the really good shots. However, I have a few here.

My report from Florida.  Checked it out around 6:15 AM (EST) ... 1/4 moon waxing.

Checked again at 6:30.... about 1/8 size...
Again at 6:40... barely visible with the naked eye.... nearing the horizon.
Was it really red? Darn, guess I'll just have to wait for the next one.  :)

Here are some more -- The bottom one in this post shows where I was shooting, but it was a lot darker than the pic looks.

Moon report from Morro Bay, Ca.

Fog.  Nothing but fog most of the day.  And yesterday, and several days before that.  Slept in.

Leaving today to find some sunshine and visit family in Paso Robles.

Fog on the California coast? Shocking ;D

it's not like I didn't expect fog.  8).  Made for a pretty good sunset one evening and a mysterious fog enshrouded view of 'The Rock'.
