This discovery just got the Nobel Prize for three researchers.

    I hope they work better than the in house unit Chrysler installed in our Durango because that one is so frustrating that I told my dealer buddy that I kicked it in.
    Saw that earlier today, it is amazing what the human brain is capable of doing.

As usual the headline is bogus, its not GPS, it is dead reckoning mapping with landmark updates.. A much older technology but ...

A much less likely to fail technology provided senile dementia does not rip the map to pieces.

Works great though.. I recall one trip I took with my wife to visit some of her friends... She ask where the town named on their postal address was.. Had not been there in... well.. a long time.... still remembered the way though.

And I think that was only my 2nd visit to that town.
