I have a 2011 Chevy 2500 short bed with the DuraMax. On level ground like in FL, I get 21 to 22 MPG not towing. Towing I get around 12 to 13 MPG. That's a 38' Montana High Country fifth wheel.

Had (still have) a 2500HD Duramax GMC got the same  as Rene T, we now pull with an 08 Chevy 3500HD DRW Duramax and get 19.5 empty with 10.0 loaded @17, 000

2011 F350, DRW, Diesel 6.7.  Flat, no tow 16.7.  Towing up n' down the East Coast, mix mountains / flat, 11.8 with SRX and Golf Cart in the Bay.

I have a 2011 F-350 Diesel 6.7L that has around 400HP and 800 lbs. torque.  It pulls my 39 ft. 5th wheel Montana effortlessly through any mountains.  Mileage is on average 17 without and 11.5 with the RV in tow.  As always, much of the mileage has more to do with your driving habits, however; no one mentioned that the differential is also a bit important when it comes to mpg, although some say it's insignificant.  We have a 3.55, however; I know there are 3.73's that are getting almost 1-2 mpg's less with that engine.  Just an FYI, the 2015's have the same engine, but have increased the HP and torque.

I've got a 2011 Chevy 3500 Duramax, DRW and carry a 4000LB Camper. I get between 11-13mpg.

When I towed a 11,000# fifth wheel with my 2001 F250 4X4 I consistantly got 14MPG.  Superchips +40 towing program, 4" straight through exhaust, Conical air filter in high flow ram air box, air inlet pre-heater (i.e. obstruction) removed, and a 373 ratio rear end.

Last trip (not towing) from Las Vegas to SF Bay Area averaged 19MPG at traffic speed - i.e. 75+.  With only 75K miles on it it's not even broken in yet!

Usually not more than 11 towing and 16 on the road without the trailer.  2005 F250 CC Long bed 4x4 6.0 Diesel.  Close to 19 on the road before they flashed the computer.  California vehicle with all the CA BS to contend with.  Truck weighed 7,600 lbs dry.  About 9,000 with fuel, the DW and myself and a bunch of stuff.  Trailer loaded and ready for travel weighed about 7,000.

Went to Morgantown for the WVU Game this past weekend..... Those grades definitely made the beast work a bit harder than flat towing!  Got like 9.4mpg for the trip according to the dash.  Really loved the transmission towing control going down the grades, hardly used the brakes at all.  Happy with the beast.
