We have a 2013 Itasca Sunstar 30T & have put 13,000+ miles on it in the 18 months since we bought it new. So far, the only problem we had with the slides was the slapping noise which was fixed by a simple retaining screw added by the dealer to keep the motors from swinging back & forth from road vibration.
I have read all the threads on the forums about slide failures & it appears that most, if not all, failures have been on the larger coaches with bigger slides than the 30T. Has anyone had failures with the small ones?
I know some have been upgraded to larger motors & other beefing up of the mechanisms but I haven't heard of this with the smaller slides. Is it safe to assume the original design as present in our 2013 is holding up for our smaller slides in the 30T or do they need to be replaced with a heavier slide system?
