We recently bought a 2004 Winnebago Brave.
Would appreciate any tips about this RV model.
Having just returned from our first outing, we did have one issue come up. The CITY FILL - TANK WATER FILL valve broke, rendering the water system useless for the weekend.
Awaiting service to get part and replace.

Any other parts to maybe keep on hand?
I'm fairly mechanical, so if it can be fixed outside a service dept., I'm game.

You can likely buy a more robust one at most hardware stores unless the existing valve is made especially to mount in a panel of some kind.

Trying to keep the part for the next thing to break is an impossible task. :-\

The city/water fill valve can be replaced by a handy individual with standard PEX fittings for the plumbing connections.

You will need the model/VIN of your Brave.
They have been very helpful in getting the correct parts in the past.

In many cases the PEX fittings require a special tool to clamp the fittings but there are  hand tightening varieties available. They are physically a little bigger so some pipe trimming might be needed. A plastic pipe cutter (for cutting the pipe easily and square) and a small length of spare pipe might be useful things to add to the tool box.
