Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum.
I have a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter based Prism turbo diesel which requires #2 (ulsd) diesel.
I want to go to Baja California Mexico, and have heard various contradictory accounts of whether that fuel is available in Baja.
Does anyone have definitive/first hand knowledge of this situation, specifically whether or not the fuel is available, and if not, whether a few tankfuls will be harmful. We intend to travel almost all the way down the peninsula.
Thanks in advance.

The last I heard, LSD was available, but USLD was not. I cannot say for certain, but I do know that in a newer motor, use of LSD instead of USLD can cause some major fowling problems to the point it may not run.  Some others will chime in here soon.

You will not find any pumps labeled with ULSD. Even the so called LSD can be very high in sulfur To make matters worse Mexico has  not passed any regs requiring trucks to have low emission equipment. No DPF's and no SCA.
