Ned, How often did you update windows, and did you run any antivirus program? Trying to decide between a chrome box or windows for a 80+ year old.

For an 80+ year old, a Chromebook is a reasonable option, provided they have a full time internet connection available. Even a tablet would be sufficient for many people, if used with an external keyboard.
