Indio FMCA Rally Jan 7 - 11, 2015

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
After that last few days of colder weather at Catalina SP it will be nice that the weather for the Indio rally looks great - 70's.

Let me know when the get-togethers are happening and I'll schedule a maintenance trip to our Indio transmitter and stop by for a visit.

Lou,

I'll let you know if anything is planned ahead of time, but this "rally" is not organized in anyway. Since only 2 of us going into general parking there may not be happy hours. Most of the people going to Indio are staying at Indian Waters RV Park - not at the convention site.

Ken, we plan on attending and will possibly arrive Tuesday the 6th.  If the FMCA folks are not around, where do you suggest we park.

Lou, if you need an excuse to visit Quartzsite, you can schedule a maintenance stop next to our Aerbus.  At 16 years old it always needs something.  :)

Gary,

There will be plenty of parking at the rally site. The folks staying at Indian Waters wanted full hookups and at the rally site its either no hookups or you can opt for 30amp power.

We will be parked at the rally site with 30amp power.  Unfortunately the only way to park together is to arrived together. We will be at the rally early Monday morning.

We will post our location once parked.

Hope to see you at the rally.

On Sunday January 4,2015 there will be a group parked over night at the Spotlight 29 Casino.  We plan to eat dinner at 5 pm in the Casino Restaurant.  Ken and Sheila and Terry and Betty are certain to attend. Any others in area are free to join us. Just let us know so we have an idea of how many.  We will drive into the rally on Monday.

Add me to the list, Betty.  I have a couple of other tasks I can do to justify going out there tomorrow, and would love to go to dinner with the group.

Lou,

That's great - see you there

Mike and Wendy (and Gordon) arrived this morning and are parked close to Fullenweiler. Weather is beautiful! See y'all at Bingo tomorrow if not before.

Maria just checked the fair grounds web site and they say pets are not allowed.  Also, there are a few rules and additional charges with respect to toads, in and out restrictions and fees for shuttles.  Perhaps the FMCA is not subject to the general fairground rules in which case, we shall see you tomorrow afternoon.  Otherwise I'm inclined to go to a private park and just drive in for a day.  Anyone, please let me know what the program is.  If the furbies don't go, we don't go.  :)

Thanks,

Gary

Gary, It has been a long standing  rule that pets are not allowed in the display and seminar buildings and coach sale areas.  However there are lots  of pets in the  general parking areas living in the  motorhomes with their  owners.  Pets must be leashed and picked up after.

There is  no extra fees for  shuttles, nor is there any extra fee  for in and out of grounds.  I've been in and out several times today with our car.  We  are in the Blue lot row 1.  Our coach is parked next to ( parallel to )  Arabia Street. Activities are close enough that we choose to walk to all  events.  Still have not gotten my  10,000 steps today.

We will  go to  Bingo tomorrow night (at 6) hoping to be big winners! Let us know where they  park you.

I've walked all over the place with Gordon today and in past years. If they said no fur babies, half the coaches would have to leave.

Come on in. The fun is just beginning.

Loretta and Larry (LOLA) are in Indian Waters with the others.
We're enjoying our Happy Hours.  We will try to see you FMCA campers
one or two evenings this week. . .  Or you can come see us !!!

Got in last night after the official greeters went to bed.  Signed up this AM and we are parked in the high end boon docking area.  I'm not sure we're still in Riverside County.  It's the Orange lot.  I think.

Hi Gary,

We are going to evening  entertainment and Terry and Ken sit in the back row.  Hope  you guys can go.  I don't sit that far back.  I like to see the group.

Bummer. Heart issues popped up Tuesday and we are stuck home and weren't able to leave to Palm Desert today. Sorry we're have to miss you all. Hopefully some happy hour get together at Happy Trails down the road.
