I have a 2006 Bounder on a Freightliner chassis and I'm thinking about getting aluminum wheels when I replace my POS Michelins (another story).

The questions I have are:

Does the inner dually also need to be replaced with an aluminum wheel?  Can I get by with only 4 aluminum wheels and two steel ones on the inners?

I'd like to find wheels exactly like Freightliner would have used had this chassis been ordered with them.  Anybody know what that is and where to find them?

Thanks,
Russ

On my Fleetwood Bounder (22" wheels) and my Winnebago Aspect (19" wheels) both have steel wheels on the inner dually.

You will have to measure your wheel studs and be sure you have the extra 1" length  needed for the new wheels, some builders install the longer studs to give the  buyer a wheel option, if so you will save much money in stud cost and labor.>>>Dan ( Many wheel patterns are propriatary, so you have to buy that wheel pattern from the owner of the pattern)

I'm not sure that alloy wheels were an available option on the Bounders, but they would have been Accurides if they were. That's what Fleetwood gets from Freightliner on models that come with allow wheels.

Except for high end models, e.g. American Coach, it is the Fleetwood norm to use standard steel wheels for the inner duals.
