Excel RV (Peterson Industries) closes its doors
« on: March 21, 2015, 03:22:48 PM »
Peterson Industries, manufacturers of high end Excel trailers has closed its door. Peterson was always fiercely independent and its customers extremely loyal, but it has been struggling since the financial woes of 2008 and finally had to give up. Sorry to see yet another high line trailer maker leave the industry.

Seems like most people these days would rather buy cheap and then complain about the poor quality. Pennywise and pound foolish as my grandmother used to say.

They made an outstanding rig.  Sorry to see them go.

one of the only 5th wheel rigs that had a fiberglass roof....sad to hear that they had to close their doors.

our leaders are telling us the economy is fixed now...........I'm a small business owner... how come I don't see it ?

Apparently, "fixing" something for one does not mean fixing it for all.

Sad to see anyone in the industry close up, especially a quality builder. There are to few good builders to begin with.
