I have a issue with my OOMA Telo Bluetooth Adapter so I had to call them. My question is where do all their customer service techs come from? Am I actually speaking to someone here in the US or is it someone in Saudi Arabia, Iran or some other country?  It's so hard to understand them. Why do companies do that?

Very likely India.  Cheaper labor, but some companies have brought their customer service back to the US because of the poor service.

India or the Philippines or ...  Ask them to speak a little slower, and their speech will be far more understandable. I usually say (e.g. to a Filipino) "Are you in Manilla?" This immediately relaxes them and communication is significantly improved, especially when I talk about my visits to their city/country.

As I always say, communication requires both a transmitter and a receiver to function correctly  ;)
