Our daughter and son in law didn't live far enough away from us, so they decided to move to Superior Wisconsin.  Now I am looking for recommendations for a short term (week or so) campsite near there.  We have a 35' motorhome and generally prefer state or municipal parks, but are open to others.  Proximity to Superior is the biggest requirement.

Any recommendations?

Ive never camped overnight there, but I was at Indian Point Park in Duluth for an event about 6 or 7 years ago and it was pretty nice.

Depending on the time of year, it can be really cool(cold) down by the water.  My son stayed at a camp ground near Superior-I'll get the name from him.  He said it was great.  Just up the North Shore there are tons of places to camp and see.  Also the James Cook Park is on the south side of Duluth.  There is a camp ground right on the harbor, just west of the DECC.

I would vote for the Northland campground... nice big pull thrus... laundry... the best part is not having to cross over from Duluth every time you want to visit.

Its not a big deal to cross over from Duluth, just drive over the bridges. Actually, depending on where the kids live in Superior, some of the Duluth area campgrounds, like Spirit Mountain and Indian Point, may be closer than Northland.

Northland RV Park in Superior has nice large, grassy, level sites. After you?ve been here for a few days you?ll learn the shortcut over to the super Walmart. Here are a few pictures of our site and the CG.

Just drove thru the Indian Point campground, so i don't know much about it.  but we have stayed at Spirit Mtn twice... drove every day down to the concert at the DECC...kind of a pain with the traffic on 35...  that's why we come up on the Wisconsin side and stay at Northland...
