Hybrid Camper tent roof support pole
« on: April 23, 2015, 03:04:57 PM »
I have a 2002 Dutchmen Lite Hybrid (by Thor) camper. The front fold down sleeping area has a support pole to hold up the tent roof. The plastic piece that attaches to the cross support has broke and I am looking for a replacement. Any ideas on where I might find a replacement?  Thanks

I know this is old, but I found a great solution for it years ago on our hybrid.  I took a piece of CPVC pipe and cut it about 3/4" long.  I then took a hand saw and cut a slit in the pipe to slip over the cross support.  It took a couple tries to get the dimension right on.  I cut off the plastic from the support rod that was left.   I put a screw in the pipe piece into the end of the support rod.  I can't remember if that held or not- if it did not I then forced a piece of wood into the end of the support rod and then put the screw in.
