A new motorhome RV owner

saying hello and needing advice on all aspects of motorhome rv-ing. My first question is about gas mileage; I purchased a 1993 33ft WinnebagoBrave which has a Chevy 454 engine with 61000 miles. What mpg should I expect with a 78gal fuel tank?

6-7 mpg if you keep the speed down and don't do much stop & go driving. A newer model would probably be in the 7-8 mpg range.

The size of the tank has nothing to do with miles per gallon. I think you wanted to say, how many miles can I expect to travel on a 78 gallon fuel tank.

We used to have a 28 foot 1994 Seebreeze with a 454 and we averaged about 8 MPG.

That would equate to about 624 miles per tank full.

Our 32 foot 1999 Winnebago Adventurer with a 454, towing a Honda Element, averaged about 7 mpg. We bought it with 72,000 miles or so on the odometer and drove it 12,000 more without any significant problems with the motor. Good luck with your "new" Winnebago!
