Has anyone come up with a workable idea on how to install a side awning over a camper slideout?  We have a Lance 992.  Carefree of Colorado says it can't be done, but wonder if someone has come up with an ingenious idea anyway.

It would all depend on how much space you have on the sidewall of the RV to mount the awning to. One it's open, it can't be touching the upper edge of the slide out. It would wear a hole through the fabric in no time. I have seen them mounted directly to the slide out. That may be an option for you.

Thanks for the response Rene.  We thought about mounting it on the slideout, but that would be a pretty narrow awning.  I don't know what Lance was thinking.  There have been RV sites where you back in and there's not enough room behind you to open the awning - sigh.
