We won't be moving the trailer for a bit, she is sitting on two eggs.

Great idea.

We appreciate the birds and wildlife here and we are glad to
others do too. Watching them brings lots of joy.

We had a mama hummingbird set up a nest in the bush two feet outside our office window.  What fun it was to watch from the two tiny eggs, to the two little "plucked chicken" looking skins, to the two tiny beaks being fed, and best of all was watching the first one start spreading its wings.  Once that started mama would come back with food but fly stationary in front of the nest as though to say "look kiddo, this is the way to fly."  We were fascinated by the whole process!

I had a closer look, there are three eggs which had not hatched last night. She is sitting on them at the moment in 41C heat, they are going to be cooked.

That had happened on the boom of my crane.  Fortunately I was able to leave it till
the nest was no longer needed.  I also had a Robins nest outside my back door in the
Forsythia Bush, got some good pictures of the chicks being fed.
