I'm completely renovating an old trailer. Is the wiring for the exterior lights and brakes normally run below the trailer or through the trailer?

Typically through the walls.  Even my old 72 Terry the running lights were run theough the walls.

Just be sure to leave extra length of the wire at each light in case a light needs replaced in the future.  It's makes it a lot easier to work on and sometimes a light wire has to just be cut to replace the light.

Since the walls are open, maybe put in a conduit from front to back. It would make any future projects that much easier.

All - Thank you for your suggestions.

Molaker - When did you retire? I retired in 2001.

I got my 20 in in 1984, but since the last few years were in the reserves, I did not "retire" until age 60 - 2002.
