just sold my '03 explorer toad and bought a '97 jeep wrangler 5-spd. does anybody have any help on towing it. i was planning on putting transfer case in neutral and leaving transmission in neutral. is that right.

If I remember correctly, the manual for the Wrangler says to put transfer case in neutral and the transmission in 3rd (std tranny).
Here's a link I found on flat towing a YJ. Same applies for a TJ. go down to the "Gear Selection" heading for specific issues/concerns/opinions.

Hope that helps.

Towing instructions should be in the owners manual.  If I remmember correctly the Transfer case should be placed in neutral aand the manual transmission should be placed in 2nd or 3rd.  Automatic Tramsmission should be placed in park.
