Onan Generator wants to start but wont ?

Hello Group - new to this forum - hope to learn a lot and possibly help others with my own knowledge of mechanics.

I am new to Rv ing - just bought a Class B Fiesta fully self contained.

It has a few issues - one being the Onan generator - pushing the start button inside the MH - it turns over - but wont start - previous owner claimed it did run - needs a screw adjusted (maybe carb?)

Any thoughts ? where to start - what to look for 1st? any help appreciated...pre thanks!
 
check oil, air filter, hit the prime (hold down the stop side of the rocker switch) Until you hear the pump priming the line and stops when the  pressure is built up. also use the switch that is on the Gen so you can be close to see what it does. when it tries to start what does the exhaust smell or looks like? raw gas smell? black smoke or nothing? you can try and drain the carb bowl onto a rag and smell if the gas is old or fresh or non meaning the needle is stuck closed.
try some of these and see what happens, good luck
