Jeep Compass

We pick up the Motorhome next week, 2002 Newmar Kountry Star. Been looking for a TOAD on the internet. Thinking about a FWD Jeep Compass or maybe a 4 WD if they make them.Does anyone know if there are any problems towing a jeep Compass 4 wheels down?
Comments from owners would be helpful.

My towing guides show that the Compass is only towable if manual transmission. The Front Wheel or All Wheel drive in Automatic is not towable.

Thanks. i should have said i was considering a manual transmission. Just put it in neutral and unlock the steering wheel? Anything else i needto know?

Whatever it says in the Compass owner manual for towing.
