ESTA visa waiver rules changed

Previously, visitors from defined countries were allowed to apply via the ESTA Visa Waiver program, avoiding the need to apply for a B1/B2 visa. The ESTA rules limited the time in the USA to 90 days max, and only one visit was allowed, with no ability to extend the stay. B1/B2 visas OTOH were good for 10 years, with 6 months maximum stay, and multiple entries.

The ESTA/visa waiver program rules appear to have changed, allowing multiple entries with a "reasonable period of time" between visits. Details can be read on this U.S. Customs and Border Patrol ESTA page.

This is one more example of why it's important to get the latest information from the source.
