Hi all,
The pump that came in our 1991 Roadtrek sounds like a jackhammer and is located against the bed so I am interested in replacing it.
Can anybody recommend a low pressure low volume pump that is quiet?  All we use the water in the van for is washing our hands and flushing the toilet so the pump does not need to be a high performance unit.
Cheers, Steve

The first thing I do when I get a new motorhome is replace the pump with a VSD (variable speed demand) pump. These pumps are very quiet and they do not cycle on and off like standard pumps.

Look at how it is mounted.
A rubber pad under the pump and mounting flange will go along way to stop noise.

Also make sure the pump is connected to the rigid waterlines (PEX) with flexible water hose.  This is recommended by the Pump Manufacturer.

Adding in an accumulator tank will keep the pump from turning on as often by keeping the pressure up.

Thank you for all the replies,
It turns out the pump is an older 2.8 GPM ShurFlo so the newer pumps aren't as much of an overkill as I thought.

The pump does have some rubber mounts but I imaging they are hard as a hockey puck being 25 years old.  I'll have to order up a newer ShurFlo with similar plumbing connections.

Thanks again, Steve
