We are planning to head out next Wednesday and wonder how the water /storm  situation is being dealt with in the North Myrtle Beach area. Also we plan to take 81S - 64 - 95- 501 as usual. Google maps has a whack of construction icons on I95. Anybody who has taken this route recently please step in with comments. thanks  Larry

Heard on news that 70 miles(30% of total) of I95 in South Carolina is closed and will be until bridges are inspected.

Skip I-95 in South Carolina and plan a different route.

See list of closures for I-95 in pic below.

thanks for the info on I95. Also found this site : http://www.sc511.org/#

They are updating the road conditions. Plus they have a road advisory alert in effect .  SOOOOOO , looks like we will delay departure till later in the month

I live in Conway and work and travel all over both Carolinas.  Coming from the north, there are no problems accessing the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach areas at the present time.  All high water and road closures are now isolated to areas west and south of Myrtle Beach in low areas along several rivers.  All of the beach is open for business.
