This afternoon 35 Delta Strummers played for the residents of a local assisted living community. This was the first of 7 'performances' between now and the end of the year. Audience feedback was wonderful, with lots of folks approaching band members afterwards to thank us personally and tell us how much they enjoyed the show.

Song choices have gone through some changes, and several breakout groups and solos added quite a bit of variety.

Two weeks to our next one, again for an assisted living community. That will be Veteran's Day and, like today, several songs will be patriotic &/or recognize our armed services.

Yesterday 36 Delta Strummers performed a 'Veterans Day concert' at an independent-living community in a nearby town. Included were a number of patriotic songs. What an appreciative audience, many of whom stood and/or saluted when the song of their branch of the service was sung. Folks were coming up afterwards to thank us and shake hands. A couple of folks (both in the audience and in the band) cried during my patriotic solo, hopefully not because it was bad.

We must not have been too bad because the residents of the community have asked if we'll perform again for them. Can't make their requested Christmas show, so it looks like a Spring concert.
