Good Day,

I was hoping someone can help. My generator runs perfect. I had a total tune up.

The problem is when I try to turn on the A/C the generator dies on me. I was told  the compressor could be possibly pulling to many amps which is making the generator stall when I turn it on. Is there any electronic device between the generator and A/C that could be going bad or is the A/C unit connect straight to the generator.  I checked the 25 amp switch inside the onan 2800 generator to verify that it is in the up position.

Everything else in the van the generator runs works perfect.

Thanks for any possible help.

Two thoughts.
1- Do you know what the A/C pulls in watts? Has it worked before?
2- A/C unit will have a starter capacitor. That could be bad.

Does it seem to bog down and then quit? I had a plugged fuel filter that would allow our QD to run until under a load and then would cause fuel starvation.
