Our RV dealer is trying to sell us a Demco tow bar for our 32ft Allegro.  We're pretty sure we'll be towing a Jeep Wrangler. He says Demco's a good one and not as expensive as others.  Does anyone have experience with the Demco tow bars?  Thanks.

No experience, but Demco is the least well known of the "big three" in car towing equipment, i.e. Roadmaster, Blue Ox and Demco.  Demco is big company but tow bars are only a small portion of their business.

Personally I would choose a Roadmaster or Blue Ox product ahead of Demco, but mostly because both companies cater primarily to RVers and provide excellent (and free) service at major RV rallies.

But if the price is right...

The dealer will sell you whatever he has and whatever he makes the most profit on.  Shop around for a tow bar and base plate.  Go to the manufacturers web sites and look for dealers in your area and call them for a quote.  I'm betting you'll do much better than the dealer price on any tow bar.
