Oh I will, I will!? Ron has his work cut out for him when I get there, although the forum here might get a brief respite!? ;D

blueblood said:First, coolant capacity is not specified in manuals generally because there are differences by several factors including the engine/radiators and related plumbing plus addded lines used to cool other radiators some of which may be all the the way to front of unit.
Understood, but Monaco should know those variables. In fact, my Monaco manual says "see the coolant capacity specified in this section", but it proceeds to omit the information from that section.

Tom said:After amost an hour on the phone with 3 different people at Monaco, all very friendly and wanting to help, I'm not really any wiser. I first talked to Tech Support who couldn't give me the cooling system capacity, but went off to find the "correct" filter number. I was on hold so long, my cell phone disconnected us. Callled back, couldn't get back to the first guy, and started again with someone else. Similar routine - couldn't find the coolant capacity, and finally transferred me to Parts because "this stuff is all spec'd out".
The lady in Parts eventually came back with the WF2071 filter (4 DCA4 units), but couldn't tell me if that was for a new coach, a new charge of coolant, or a routine replacement.
Nobody was able to give me either the capacity of the system or the type of coolant used. This stuff really shouldne't be that difficult to find out, especially given the apparent importance of getting it right.
blueblood said:I don't know Monaco - but if I remember they make their own chassis. If so, the info is likley to be at the hands of chassis people since thier the ones who would dress the engine and fill the coolant.
Ron said:Yes with the normal inservice filter. In our case the WF2071.
Smoky said:Terrific Ron!? Just what I was looking for!? That message goes into my permanent maintenance file!? I will also research what filters are recommended for my coach.
