Coleman-Mach thermostat error code...flashing DIFF

I have a residential basement heat pump in my  '02 Winnebago Journey  system and when I turn it to electric heat, I get a flashing DIFF code on the thermostat, blows cold air then shuts off in about 5 minutes...I have none of the manuals....what does it mean?
