Has anybody wired the brake/tail/turn lights on a 2003 to 2007 Corolla. Is there enough room in the tail light assembly to add another bulb or do I have to go the diode route?

Just pull out the light and take a look. In my previous life, I owned a shop where we did tons of hitches and tow setups and I can't recall ever coming across a taillight I couldn't find room for another bulb.

I can't speak to the Corolla specifically, but on both our 2002 and 2011 RAV4's I went the diode route, and picked up the rear lighting wires behind the driver's side kick panel instead of routing wires all the way to the back.
