I recently decided buying a camper trailer was the way to go financially as a place to live, and it will suit all my travel desires. Most the nice ones that are affordable for me are about a two hour drive for me to collect. I'm working with a 07 4 Chevy Silverado that claims to tow 10000 ibs. The trailer on average I'm looking at is a 30ft travel trailer. The most recent I'm  interested in is aforest river Rockwood ultra lite 3605.

In short can someone help me figure out my towing capacity for a 2 hour drive with a 33ft trailer and a 07 4door Silverado? Do I need to find another hauler or perhaps a smaller camper? Will I make it as is? Thanks for reading :)

You need some real numbers, not off-the-cuff descriptions. The truck with have a towing and payload rating, and the trailer will have a max gross weight (GVWR) and corresponding tongue or pin weight.

Here are two sources to determine the towing numbers for your truck:
http://www.gmcanada.com/media/vehicles/common/gmcl_trailering_brochure_02_EN.pdf
http://www.trailerlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Trailer-Life-Towing-Guide-2007.pdf

Much has been written here about trailer weights and truck towing capacity. I encourage you to use SEARCH (see the menu bar) to find and read previous discussions about 'trailer tow rating' or 'towing capacity'.

I just posted this a  few minutes ago.  Ignore the references to his Tundra.  The math is the same.
