is there an easy way to remove wiper assembly I'm having a hard time trying to get parts apart to replace ball assembly doesnot want to come apart from motor to wipers

no pics sorry.just having a hard time removing the arm from wiper motor.thinking there must be an easy way to get the arm of the ball.
