A recent roadtrip to Oregon resulted in an overnighter in Redding, CA. I got a chance to go over and see the Sundial Bridge. Very cool bridge/structure. If you are in the area, be sure to check it out.

In 2004, it cost 23.5 million to build and it's only a foot bridge.

That's just one of many worthwhile projects funded by the McConnell Foundation in the Redding area.  The McConnells had no children and left their fortune to benefit the area.
