Looking for someone to discuss webasto heating system in country coach.  Having problems with the pumps that circulate the coolant.  Anyone with experience in this area?

Is this an Aquahot or Hydrohot system using a Webasto diesel furnace as one of its heat sources? Or one of the actual Webasto Hydronic systems (both heater and plumbing from Webasto)? CC used both at one time or another.

Yes, the pumps can and do fail. So do switching controls. Could you describe more about what problems you are having?? Same problem whether using electric as the heat source or the Webasto furnace? All zones have the same problem, or just one of them?

The Wabasco system on older Country coaches does not have a reservoir tank like Aquahot. It is used a a direct circulation system to heating the coach. One some coaches there is also a loop that circulates hot coolant to the Hot Water tank using the MotorAid connections. I looked at Terry's coach which has the Wabasco burner and I believe it had 2 circulation pumps, but more than 2 heat zones this is similar to the current Aquahot system that has 2 pumps but 4 to 5 zones.

Anyone that services Aguahot should be able to work on this system.

look at this website for parts:

Gary Roamer:  Exactly the problem I have.  The pump used to circulate the coolant has failed on me 4 times.  When that happens the seal fails and I lose all my coolant.  I just had the problem again on my way home.  Luckily I had a spare pump.

Have you heard of anyone replacing the pumps with a different type of pump with a better seal.  I don't think the pumps can be repaired by using a new o ring, at least that is what the factory tells me.  The factory that makes the pump.  C coach in Junction City, OR has not been helpful with suggestions about a different pump.

The company says the pump cannot be repaired with a new o ring.  I am looking for someplace to get a different pump that will do the same function.
