Asking you guys because SOMEbody here always has the answer to the most esoteric questions ;D
I have an ancient Sony Cybershot which works fine, but it's at the end of it's tech life, for sure. I think with Windows 8 (?) I was no longer able to just plug it into a USB port and access the photos, so I bought a card reader that others said had worked for their old Sony memory sticks.
That broke, and now I'm stuck. I bought this (http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Digital-Memory-Reader-TGR-MS20/dp/B001467ICC) because two reviews said they used it for their Cybershot's memory sticks, but when I plug this into a USB port, it says the same thing my computer did when I used it's own card reader: "You need to format the disk in drive..."
