awesome lift cart.  I always learn something on this forum.  I always prefer buying tools to paying for labor.    WOuld this work to drop the genset from a Journey?  The onan is less than 500 pounds, just not sure about clearance....

Roger that with very few exceptions.

A lift table is most likely what mechanics use to drop a generator, mine is on a slide so I've never seen one dropped. You need to measure the height of the gen set and how much vertical room is available under the coach - you need clearance to get the generator clear of the bottom of the chassis.  You might need to get the jacks extended all of the way to make room.

You could always make some of these to get more clearance.

Great idea Neal! Those large truck air over hydraulic bottle jacks aren't that expensive and might get the chassis up and out of the way. Another idea is jack pads, I have two pads that give me about nine inches of added extension.
