I must admit that I don't pay enough attention to this subject. Here's an interesting article on the subject in the current issue of the BOATUS newsletter.
 
Thanks Tom. Informative article.  We just left Tampa Bay fishing and now are at Seeley Lake Mt. Near some nice Mt Lakes.  All require maintenance, especially from salt water to fresh water.  Thanks again.  Steve
