Had a taa daa moment a couple of weeks ago.  Our van design is a through isle design and we set our table up in the isle.  Not as handy as originally thought.  Table rotates to get access to the restroom but that is not near as easy as I thought it would be.  Then two weeks ago I came across a 2004 Mb Cruiser floor plan and it has a dinette to the side of the isle!  Table, seating BUT isle is not blocked.  Just didn't think of a dinette in this size of a rig.  An Mb is some bigger but maybe, and yes I can get one to fit.  Now all I had to do was fine tune and fit the design concept into our van.  Here are the pics. (because of the 12 pictures per post I will use two posting for this show and tell.

So if you are looking for a project.  Something like this might be an option.  B's are small but where there is a will there is a way.

In a 'B' there is NEVER enough storage space.  I lost three cubic feet when I put the dinette in but I did make a cubby hole.  So I closed it in and gained back a one cubic foot of storage.

Fine tuned the modification by making a drop leaf table for the dinette.  Very pleased with this layout.  Just got back from a one week trial trip with it.  We did pull out our old Thermarest backpacking pads/chairs for use at the dinette.  They are a smaller size and fit the dinette size better.  The large Camprest Thermapads now make a couch on the drivers side.  Do not think we will ever use the isle table position again.  Great to have a full time table and the isle free for walking.

Ya know, with space at a premium, if you dumped the paper towels and half the juice, you'd have room for a couple more bottles of wine and maybe another Kessler. Just sayin'  ;) ::)

Love what you did with the place! The dinette seems a great idea. I'm not a big fan of dinettes in particular, but it saves you the space and you can access the restroom more easily.
