Last year I made the decision to upgrade my "lake toys"...the 16 ft Fiberform tri-hull with 85 HP Suzuki outboard known as the "Orange Bomber" was upgraded to a 2006 Yamaha SX 230 with twin 140 HP jet engines.  The Citation 27 K (no slides) is being replaced by an Innsbruck 36FRS with a front queen in place of bunks/dinette...will be installed prior to April 1 when my lease begins.  Can't wait to start the new season, but I want to make sure I take care of the toys!

Does anyone leave their jet boat in fresh water all season?  Does this add to any off season maintenance?

Thanks!

Unless the hull has bottom paint, leaving it in the water will result in growth that will significantly reduce performance. Getting it all off at the end of the season will also be a chore. If you decide to get the bottom painted, it needs to be a type that repels/deters growth for the type of water the boat is in.
