Unless you need that 3rd bunk, I think the SV-303 is a better floor plan. The bunks are on a slide freeing up floor space, and there is more storage space in the 303. The 2nd dinette in the kids space is good for a place for the kids to color, draw, and do homework at the beginning and the end of the camping season seem as they are in school during that time. The 304 does make better use of the counter space and the 3rd bunk does flip up out of the way.
I haven't owned a Surveyor, we looked at them, but Kelly wants bar stools. If you want better build quality you will have to spend a lot more money.
