What are my options? New but looking for a box camper
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:42:28 PM »
I am looking to find myself a cheap box camper that would fit in, and be able to be hauled, by my 1994 Chevrolet Silverado ext cab C1500 pickup. The pickup has a regular sized 6ft box, so is there a specific length of box campers that are made to fit these boxes?
Also, is the truck able to function correctly with a heavy camper in the box? I am planning on taking out quite a bit of weight as where I am headed I will have NO access to power. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by a 'box camper'. Are you referring to a smaller cab high unit that is primarily for sleeping or a larger one with full living quarters and cab over bed? The latter tend to be too heavy for a standard box 1500.

Check out Capri's. Probably the lest expensive.
